Overview

The Razer Mamba features gaming grade wireless technology with a hybrid system that enables instant wired/wireless functionality. Coupled with an industry leading 1ms polling rate, it is the fastest performing mouse both on and off the cord. Delivering true wireless freedom, lag-free speed and ergonomic comfort, the Razer Mamba is in a league of its own.
Gaming-Grade Wireless Technology
The Razer Mamba gaming grade wireless technology is engineered to free you from the reins while achieving the highest gaming standards. Its ability to be polled at an interval of 1ms maximizes the frequency at with data is sent to the PC. This also means your command gets executed first even if you and your opponent react at the same time.
Dual Mode Wired/Wireless Functionality
The Razer Mamba's dual mode wired/wireless functionality allows you to switch between the wireless freedom and the frenzy of wired play, with zero downtime for charging. By connecting the Razer Mamba™ via its USB cable, it converts into a wired mouse - the gamer is then freed from battery life concerns as the battery is also charged while in wired mode.
Razer Synapse™ Onboard Memory
With its upgraded Razer Synapse™ onboard memory, the Razer Mamba enables you to store more profiles and longer macro strings on your mouse without the need for software. You can now take your custom mouse settings to any tournament or LAN party, without the hassle of any software.
Charging Dock
Included with the Razer Mamba™ is its charging dock which also acts as the wireless receiver unit.

Review from Here:

  1. When I first knew this mouse, I wanted to have it.. few of this mouse is available in my country stores but I had no money for it..as there's a only a few Mamba in stores.. I told my friend about it and he was a Razer fan and holding to a Deathadder.. soon enough he got Mamba as a birthday present.. He saw One last Mamba and he paid half for me, as he knew i wanted it so much.. I was so happy that day.. I went to clear the other half and get the Mouse the same day..

    Couldnt bear to unbox Mamba when I'm home, the package is like a display, that you would love to see but wouldn't bear to touch..Razer you really went overboard for the package..its too great for Mamba..I never have the chance to try on Deathadder, but when I tried to hold Mamba I realise how was it, and why everyone recommend Deathadder..Its just fits your right hand nicely, that you wouldn't know that you are holding a mouse..I feel my diamondback 3G is smaller after using Mamba, is this a side effect?

    Lastly, only buy this mouse when you can afford, and the money for your own use, because now I have difficulties returning my friend the money..but he was kind enough for me to take my time to return him.. =)

  2. 1-looks great->

    In the first i thought the gaming mice are useless untill i tried the logitech g5 i found that there are a very big diff. between the gaming mice and the ordinary ones so i bought the logitech g5 i thought it was grate but after 2 monthes of use it started to pause while i am playing so i became upset of the bad quality of logithech .
    later i wanted to get a razer product so i visited their site when i saw the mamba i was amazed by all of the features it have so i bought it and i found that there is a very big diff. between the gaming mice and that mamba it is so great the 1 ms response is so helpfull in the gaming and the 5600 DPI is so great really it is the greatest mouse i have ever used in my life i rated it 4 bec. it makes my hands get sweaty after 1 hour of using

  3. In addition to my earlier comments...->

    In addition to my earlier comments, I've tried the mouse on a hard surface and I have found that folding the battery removal tab under the battery cover helps improve the feel of the mouse on a hard surface (likely a soft surface too), probably because of better contact with the teflon feet.

  4. Hey, this is the best outta here !!!!->

    I've just completed reading the new Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse. 5700dpi, same shape with the G5 and ... 70 USD ?? Maybe Mamba should have to watch-out here.
    Still, Mamba is a great gaming mouse. After the DeathAdder then this, right-handed gamer like me will have more choice. Absolutely no lag and it increases my Counter Strike and Warcraft III Gaming pretty much .

  5. Near Perfect!->

    It's unusual to see such a buzz about this mouse. The first time I heard about the Mamba, my friend mentioned it was a wireless mouse and my response was, "forget it, you'll return it before you know it".

    Then, after speaking unintelligently about this mouse, I decided to read through reviews. After waiting a few weeks to read more reviews and talking to my friend who recently bought a mamba, I realize that it was time for me to take the plunge.

    This mouse is nearly perfect. The good points have all been said here. The mouse does not act like a wireless mouse. It's absolutely flawless in that respect. I have yet to use it in wired mode and am happier than ever to no longer be tethered to my computer and have to finagle with my mouse cord weight.

    Some of the things that bother me about this mouse are:

    I'm running Win7 RC and support isn't fully there yet. Due to this, I'm pretty sure the issues I'm having with the mouse pairing with the dock after prolonged sleep off the dock will eventually be fixed. I have to unplug the dock and plug it back in before the mouse starts working again.

    The mouse is finicky until you upgrade the firmware on the mouse and dock.

    I have a gaming grade steel series mouse pad. This mouse tracks quite poorly on this pad. I'm currently researching a new mouse pad option, but razer recommends their $30+ mouse pads to use. I find it terribly misleading to tell your customers to buy your most expensive mouse pads and don't offer any other suggestions on what to use!

    Beyond those two minor things, this mouse is perfect. I expected to find some issues with this thing, but overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

  6. A few small improvements required, but still the best.->

    A power supply to charge the mouse would be handy, or else the pc would have to be left in sleep mode to charge it. Wireless RF USB plug in would be better than the current charging base/RF receiver. Should be slightly wider on the right hand side, where my 3rd finger slips down and drags along the surface (increasing friction). Scroll wheel with smooth (spin) function, instead of just "click,click". The response rate is the biggest feature for this mouse.

  7. Razer Mamba->

    I recently bought the Razer Mamba Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse and at first was astounded at the price. Who would buy a $130.00? I would as I am a reviewer. I received the package in the mail today with 1 day shipping and was amazed! The box alone was magnificent! I slowly and carefully opened the packaging and was even more astounded! The mouse had a 5600 DPI value and 1000Hz Polling Rate. Packed with a 1ms response time...this was the real deal! Every cent was worth it. If you want a quality mouse that beats the Logitech Mice...get this one.

  8. Good mouse, bad drivers.->

    It really is a fantastic mouse. Even though forgetful me often forgets to put it back on the base, It performs very well and leaves other wireless mouse for dead.

    But the drivers are cumbersome, slow, hard to use, and application switching still isn't working properly. If they can get the Synapse to work much more quickly (a concept good in theory), and the drivers to work properly it would a perfect mouse.

    At the time of writing, this mouse is not compatible with Windows 7. Hopefully this will get fixed very soon though (hint hint razer).

  9. Best mouse ever, but wireless mode not perfect.->

    Having owned a wireless logitech G7 prior to purchasing the mamba, I can say there is a significant difference in how smooth and accurate the mamba is. However, if you are going to use this mouse as a wireless mouse it is not perfect for a few reasons. First, I have had issues with the mouse just randomly losing its signal, and would remain unresponsive for 4 to 5 seconds. I had the latest drivers and firmware. Recently the 1.5 driver has helped this from not happening as often but the problem still exists. I have never had this issue with the Logitech G7. Also, don't expect a lag free wireless mouse like they say. It lags about the same as the Logitech G7 in the same set up, but still the best you going to find for wireless (lags occasionally, not enough to be significant).

    Also, the battery last long enough to play all day without it running out as long as you charge every night (depends on how much you play). If you do happen to run low on battery, then you can use wired mode, but I would have liked to have seen the quick battery switch like the logitech G7 since the whole point was to play wireless.

    Even with these minor issues, I totally recommend this mouse to anyone. The macros and up to 5 profiles are key. The button lay out is great, but wish they could have added a left and right button on the mouse wheel like logitech for 2 extra buttons.

    If you use the wired mode, then you have the best mouse on the planet. It seemed to work flawless. If you own an ExactMat I recommend using the speed side even if you are a low sensitivity player. The control side felt off with this mouse.

  10. There are 2 gods->

    the mamba is a thing that belongs in the heavens as in like in zeus's hands not us mear mortals, right no i only use 2 mice the logi mx rev and the mamba the mamba is at home the logi in the office both are great but honestly the mamba looks better and honestly the mx rev is the only thing that can even say its in the same league and the mamba is better than it.
